I genuinely can not believe we’ve hit May already, how insane, the year is flying on by! This month’s favourites are all products that I have recently been introduced to and especially loved these past few weeks. I like to mix up my make-up routine and after a lot of travel recently my vibe has been very natural when it comes to my everyday make-up. A light base, subtle contour, bright wide eyes and a deeper lip. So it’s products that helped me with this particular look that have made today’s faves 😉

Let’s get too it!

A great new natural contour I’m using is the Lancome miracle cushion foundation – I also have this product in my skin shade for a foundation. I love the light texture and natural finish, it’s a great light-medium coverage for a dewy base and the packaging us perfect!

A few weeks ago I had a min-makeover from Lancome in Selfridges and I asked the make-up artist, Darius, for a really natural look, I had recently returned from The Maldives and therefore had a little tan and lots of freckles. I love my freckles so I always wear a super light foundation when I’m tanned to show them off, it always bugged me that if I wear a light foundation I couldn’t then contour. My contouring palette is quite heavy so it would look a little odd and obvious with a light coverage foundation and then super heavy cheek hollows! So I spoke to Darius and he recommended using the miracle cushion in a darker shade and it works perfectly!

The light texture mixes well with my BB creams and lighter foundations and it is a perfect colour for contouring. I personally use the shade Lupita.

I’ve been applying it with this fab new double ended brush from Urban Decay – it’s perfect for contouring the hollows of my cheeks. Then I use the other end of the brush for my concealer. Both ends of this brush are great, it picks up a lot of product in one sweep and it blends beautifully. It’s pretty perfect to pack when travelling too!

Speaking of concealer I am loving this waterproof one from Lancome, the Effacernes Long lasting Softening Concealer, I have it in the shade 02 which matches my skin perfectly! This product is really great, it’s super creamy, easy to blend and gives a flawless finish. I find sometimes with concealers they dry so quickly so they can be impossible to blend, also they can become a bit cakey, crusty almost towards the end of the day – so I have never really bothered with one. This though, was sent to me by Lancome so I’m so glad I got to try it out, now it’s always in my make-up bag! On good skin days I’ll just dab a bit on my nose and that’s all I need for base that day. On bad skin days I’m tempted to use it all over! I love the consistency and the colour is such a perfect match for my skin tone.

Mascara wise I am LOVING the combo of Benefit’s They’re Real Tinted Lash Primer and Lancome’s Hypnose Volume-a-Porter. I think my lashes look so girly and defined using these two. I like using them during the day for a more natural look, then I’ll switch to a waterproof mascara or false lashes in the evening for more drama.

These two work so well together, I think they really help to open up my eyes. I curl my lashes then apply one sweep of the primer then two sweeps of the mascara and I’m done. The definition holds all day – peeeeerfect 🙂

Then there’s my Benefit Gimme Brow – which also made March’s faves! I’m adding it to this month’s too as whilst I was in New York my girlies were obsessed with this product. I wanted to re-share it in case some of you haven’t seen it either.

It’s so good! You simply drag it through your eyebrows and it tames them, boosts them and coats them in a colour that lasts all day. I have had my eyebrows tattooed so this is all I need on mine, it’s a teeny product but lasts for ages, I’ve used mine almost every day for 3 months now and it’s still going strong.

Needless to say Gemma and Kate (my New York gals) both bought one for themselves after the trip 😉

A newbie and my absolute favourite product of the month is Urban Decay’s 24/7 waterline eyeliner in walk of shame. O.M.G this is a lifesaver! If you followed my snapchat whilst I was in New York you’ll be well aware of the fact that we were drinking, a lot! (It was a hen do after all ;)) So needless to say we were waking up rather rough every morning. This eyeliner was a game changer for us all – it transformed our puffy, red, tired eyes in just one stroke!

My girls both tried to buy the same liner in NYC as they loved it so much but it had sold out everywhere, I’m obviously not alone when it comes to this favourite!

It’s great for a heavy make-up look too – I wore it last night (see my instagram for a lil’ selfie) with a smokey eye and big lashes and it looked great. It really opens up your eyes and it lasts for ages – a MUST have for sure!

On the lips I have loved wearing deeper, brown tones lately. Going light on my eyes means I can have more fun with my lips and I love the combo of these two; Mac lip Liner in Oak & NYX Lip Lingere in Honeymoon.

NYX sponsor most af the amazing Red Carpet moments on E! so I have been lucky enough to trial their products recently and aren’t they great?! I love the brand so much, everything is so affordable and the lip colours especially are amazing! I have about 20 shades, I also love their butter glosses and their matt lipsticks – I will work my way through them in my favourites I’m sure 😉
