So I was in Marrakech for the weekend as you know, here is where my husband and I stayed. The beautiful Riad, Dar Ayniwen. I found this hotel by searching through the trusty travel website Tripadvisor. It is ranked as number 11 of all 461 hotels in Marrakech. There are countless reviews on there describing this place as ‘perfect’ and ‘a paradise’ and I am about to write my very own review to concur!
Dar Ayniwen is a small riad with just 8 guest rooms, 5 of which are in the house and 3 in the garden as guest houses. The grounds are stunning. There is a huge pool which was always the perfect temperature and perfectly clean and also some lovely grounds which include a koi carp pond, grapefruit trees and a zen garden. We stayed in a suite within the house itself and it was so beautiful! As you can see from the photos, the decor was authentic and sumptuously detailed. The suite was huge, a large bedroom and adjoining bathroom that you could throw a party in! There were fresh petals in the bath and on the bed daily and we were provided with countless luxury wash products and Moroccan pastries, they spoiled us!
The breakfast included was a continental spread with pancakes, croissants, toast and fruit. There was also a daily pot of yummy homemade yoghurt which was, without a doubt the best yoghurt I have ever had, I miss it! You could order more if you wished, eggs, meat etc but we always felt the spread was enough.
The riad is located in the Palmeraie, nice and close to Nikki Beach and about 10/15 minutes to the Medina. The Riad offers a free shuttle service which was great, it was like having your own private chauffeur 🙂
If you are planning a trio to Morocco I would recommend this place with ease 🙂 I booked via booking.com here 🙂
