When creativity meets creativity, it makes for quite the perfect picture 😉
For those of you familiar with LA you’ll probably recognise these tall grey pillars and well, for those of you who are familiar with instagram you will probably also have seen these rather frequently posted columns 😉 This location is a favourite in Los Angeles for models, bloggers and insta-friendly tourists.
This picture perfect city spot is actually a modern piece of art called Urban light, it acts as the eye-opening entrance to the Los Angeles College of Art. The mini maze is a grid of iron street lamps that are solar powered to light up at dusk. In fact, the sight is even prettier at night, although, unfortunately at the moment there is quite a lot of construction work going on so if you are after that perfect shot you’ll need to be nifty with the camera 😉 It’s actually based just opposite my old E! offices so I have been to the famous assembly sculpture a few times prior but never had the time to shoot a look, so on my recent Route 66 trip we thought we’d take the time 😉
I’m actually wearing the outfit I wore to my E! News Live visit as we travelled here immediately after I finished for the day at the new E! Studios in Universal City. I found out that I would be filming super last minute so I had to pull together a look pretty speedily the night before, I wanted to look casual but well put together all the same. So I opted for a little bare leg with oversized denim 😉 This jacket is a newbie and the velvet choker I had picked up from Nasty Gal in Santa Monica (one of my all time favourite shops in LA btw!) the day before. I love the charm details and long chains at the back, now I just need to stock up on more backless jumpers to wear it during these colder months!
I’m off to the Maldives on Friday so if you feel like a winter virtual break then come by and see us on snapchat 😉 My snapcode is listed on my homepage top tab – I’ll be doing my best to share the whole trip with you!
