Good afternoon from New York City! It’s a disgustingly sticky day her in the big apple and yet, I still feel amazing strutting down the humid streets. My hair is not the heat’s best friend but my camera certainly is.

These last few days were the first week of my fashion month adventure with E! and Look Magazine. I am travelling with my E! Stylist and blogger babe Claire Chanelle and we have already attended some amazing shows, dined with some of our favourite brands, rubbed shoulders with the A-Listers and managed to squeeze in this little street style snap with my favourite photographer Moeez Ali ๐Ÿ™‚

I have never been heavily involved in Fashion Month but as I mentioned in my last post I really wanted to head out to NYFW this year to be able to take the E! UK & Ireland audience with me and experience the glitz and the glam of it all. In year’s past when I wasn’t working in the entertainment and fashion industry I used to head down to Sommerset House in London during fashion week and simply people watch and style hunt, in those days street style was rarely snapped and rocketed onto social media, it was more for us girls to get some inspiration and for me personally it was to be around people that truly had their own sense of style.

With bloggers quite literally taking over the world right now Fashion Month is bigger than ever. Everyone wants that front row seat at the high profile shows, we all want to be stopped and papped like an A-List star if we are wearing something cute and in turn we want it all on our social ย media feeds. I have always been on the consumer side of fashion week, I loved flicking through my favourite mags and heading online to check out all the great street style looks and I still love that aspect of Fashion Month. Yesterday however, I really felt like, for the first time I was immersed into the world of fashion – the shows are breathtaking, the atmosphere is unreal and the drive and desire in each and every FROW goer is so captivating. Fashion is a ruthless industry and asides from TV & Radio the hardest vocation path to go down. It’s an industry that so many people want to be a part of so everyone that is involved in the industry is so passionate about their careers and with passion in most cases there is that determination to succeed. For me this is so apparent in the fashion industry. I have even noticed myself since being more involved in it that fashion girls are not to be messed with! It’s a cut throat industry, fashionistas, whether they are bloggers, buyers, editors of a magazine are not at fashion week to make friends they are there to live and breath their devotion to style and I can tell you now from the moment you walk into a show space you can almost taste it in the air!

It’s refreshing and intimidating, uncomfortable and motivating all at the same time!sabrina-chakici-e-host-nyfw-lookxe-eallaccess-clutchandcarryon-com-clutch-carry-on-peter-pilotto-dress-net-a-poter
