oct9It’s been a while since I have shared with you some of my beauty buys and favourites, so with it being October already (how did this happen?!) I thought it was only right to share with you my October beauty favourites
oct7oct20If you have read my beauty posts previously you’ll know that my favourite make-up brand is Dior. I love the textures, colours and smells of thier products and the fact that everything I have ever bought has lasted so well.

I was at the airport last month for a trip to Marrakech and I needed to get a slightly darker foundation to match my then tan (yep, I am usually paler than this, it’s possible!) so I got this Dior Forever flawless perfection foundation. My sister uses this but it’s the first time I had tried it at the airport. The smell is gorgeous! The foundation itself has a really great medium coverage and lasts all day which is perfect for me. It also has an spf of 25 which is always a bonus in my eyes!

The blusher complimented the foundation so well that I bought it too. The shade is called Happy Cherry and it’s a great Autumnal tone, a little deeper than my usual choice and a much richer tone. One sweep with the brush and my cheeks are beautifully rosy 🙂  I never hesitate when it comes to buying shadows or blushers from Dior –  I am not exaggerating when I say they last years!oct23oct8This eye-shadow from Illamasqua was my first make-up purchase from this brand. I went to the store in central London to have a nosey and I was so overwhelmed with everything, I didn’t have a clue what to buy! I spoke to a beauty consultant and they recommended this eye-shadow for me to ‘make my eyes pop’. She tried it on me in the shop and I noticed a huge difference. I now tend to wear this everyday. Give it a try yourself, especially if you have big eyes, use a blender brush and blend it in to the creases of your eyes. You don’t need much so it should last me a wee while 🙂
This Mac lipstick. That purple. Wow!! I would never have thought this shade would suit me, it’s quite a shocking colour as you can see! My friend and I were caught in the rain recently and ducked into MAC to dodge getting wet. Whilst in there we were trying the make-up (as you do in MAC ;)) and for a laugh I tried this shade. The laugh was on me though as it actually really suits me!!! I must wear it in a style diary soon so you don’t just have to take my word for it 😉oct14oct16I tend to buy a new brush every month, between you and I am a little bit obsessed with make-up brushes! I added this huge powder brush to my collection recently. I use it to apply my pressed powder and natural bronzer. It’s great as it’s so big it covers my face in just 3 sweeps. It’s a real techniques brush, I love thier brushes as they are so soft and always well performing, however, they do tend to build up quite easily, more so than my other brushes. That’s where this No7 brush cleanser comes in! I wash my brushes with baby shampoo once a month but inbetween I will use this brush cleanser. It’s especially handy if you are switching up colours and don’t want exisiting product on the brushes. I spray some on a piece of kitchen roll or toilet roll and just sweep the brushes back and forth on the paper. oct11So there they are, my October beauty favourites.
