Last weekend I was lucky enough to travel to some beautiful Greek islands with the lovely team from Folli Follie. As most of you will know I recently worked with this great brand and actually had the pleasure of involving you guys in a meet and greet in London a few months ago, so when they asked me to join them on an Island hop I said yes without a second’s hesitation!
We explored the islands of Mykonos and Tinos, both of which were so incredibly beautiful and picturesque, for a luxurious 4 day photoshoot 😉 We stayed in some gorgeous hotels and dined in some great spots all the while enjoying the gorgeous scenery and sunshine, but mostly we were modelling the beautiful pieces from Folli Follie’s summer collections.
So with that being said I have decided to split up the days and share 5 different looks with you over the next few weeks. All of which were worn, shot and accessorised up with Folli Follie 😉 I’ll then do a separate little travel post for you detailing more about the island hop and the amazing things to see and do in Mykonos.
Before I jump into the fashion though I just wanted to make an note to say that I was lucky enough to meet some great new friends on this trip too, Lydia Millen & Claire Chanelle so make sure you stay tuned for their youtube videos and posts! I will link them on here as soon as they are up as I will no doubt make an appearance 😉 (Mum, I’m gonna be famous!)
Back to today’s post now, I wanted to create the perfect poolside look for those days you know you’ll be hanging by the pool and want to feel relaxed but still super stylish. I love wearing a bikini and flip flops but if I know I’ll be lounging around all day, grabbing lunch by the pool, reading my book or doing some emails I feel so much better in a one piece. This swimsuit was such a great find from ASOS, it’s so on trend with the tassels and off shoulder design, it’s also so easy to style up or down. You can throw on a pair of denim cut offs in the day or a smart pair of black trousers and heels in the evening – it has to have been the most versatile item I packed for the entire trip actually! As it’s a simple monochrome design I loved the idea of teaming it up with my new pom pom sandals that I snapped up in Portugal. These sandals are such a big craze right now and I am all for it! I wore them so much in Greece and I intend to wear them at every opportunity in my next few trips away. They are surprisingly comfy too – bonus!
There is then of course, the perfect addition of my Folli Follie accessories, no surprise there! These sunnies, the watch and all my rings are available in stores now. Upon arrival in Greece we were all gifted with some jewellery and this chunky rose gold chain link ring was in my bag – it stacks so well with my existing FF ring collection. These earrings were also in my pouch 🙂 I love how simple they are, and the fact that they are sterling silver meant I could just leave them in all trip too – perfect!
Top Poolside Tip: I always apply once suntan lotion as it lasts for 8 hours, it’s a great idea to opt for a long wearing suncream when you are wearing jewellery by the pool so that you don’t have to keep fussing with top ups and getting creams on your rings and watch etc.
These pictures were taken in our favourite hotel from the entire trip, Mykonos No 5 – I will be writing a full review on this hotel because it really is a little gem! The owners are sweethearts, the views are stunning and the hotel itself is fresh out of a luxury interiors showroom, I can’t wait to share more from this location.
I’ll be talking more about the trip over the next few weeks so make sure to check back in 😉 I post on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays x
*This trip was not a paid collaboration, I travelled as a guest of Folli Follie – all accessories and jewellery was kindly gifted.
