I recently escaped to where I can only describe as paradise, The Conrad Maldives. It’s now time for me to slowly but surely take you guys back, visually, to the islands I spent one of the most amazing weeks of my life in.
Dress – Vix Swim/Sunglasses – Celine/Ring – Kat and Bee Jewellery here
Imagine waking up to the sound of waves that are literally crashing beneath the bed that you sleep in, looking out of your window and seeing nothing but endless blues and ditching all forms of footwear for a week – that was me, just two weeks ago and I am still pinching myself 😉
I’m now finally able and super excited to share it all with you guys!! With so many amazing pictures and memories to show you here’s how it will work, in true Clutch & Carry-on fashion I’ll be sharing a series of Style diary posts as well as a full review of the hotel itself. Every outfit you see was shot at a different location on these beautiful islands (there’s two of them!!). I am also going to be dedicating a post to the amazing food at the Conrad Maldives, which is a first for me, but it impossible not to, as those of you who followed along via snapchat will know 😉
I thought we’d start with a little heavenly breakfast, there’s a snap amongst these fashion shots of my yummy dish but remember we’re going to talk food later on 😉
The weather was a constant 30 degrees during our stay so my daily look was simply swimwear and a loose cover up. This Vix dress is a beautiful piece I picked up from a boutique in Brazil last year and I love how easy it is to wear and how beautiful the detailing is. Granted it could use an iron……but a few moments later the heat had sorted that out 😉 It cinches in at the waist and I adore the adjustable neckline. Vix has long been one of my favourite swimwear brands as those of you who have followed me for years will know. I don’t usually spend that much on cover ups as I find they always get sun lotion stains on them and they are too often chucked into your beach bag without a care but I really couldn’t resist this beaut!
I am also wearing jewellery here which is something I very rarely do on holiday for a similar reason to buying inexpensive cover-ups! Again, it was simply a matter of lust – how gorgeous is this ring?! It’s by a jewellery brand I recently discovered called Kat and Bee. The pieces are all hand made and stunning. I loved the intricacy of the designs and the skull details, this particular ring is sterling silver and features turquoise which is one of my favourite holiday gems. It’s so unique and it was love at first sight. I also got an amazing necklace and another similar ring which you’ll see later in the holiday write up 😉
I think from these pictures alone you can easily see why I fell in love with the Conrad Maldives and this is just one corner of the resort -these snaps were shot at the ‘a la carte’ breakfast restaurant called Villu, there really is no better place in the world to start your day.
Check back on Thursday for the next installment of Paradise in Winter. There’s plenty more where that came from! x
