So long summer, you’ve been amazing!
So it seems that’s it for summer here in UK, we had a great stretch but it’s time to pack away the denim cut-offs and summer dresses and make way for suede jackets and knee high boots.
Us Brits have the worst reputation for slating our summers but I for one want to make a stand against this weather shaming pattern. The past two summers here in the UK have been so great, we had warm weather for 4 months straight with super long days and short nights. It’s only now that we are falling into October that there is a chill in the air and a need for a jacket so no complaints from me!
As a travel blogger it’s harder for me to experience the slow climate change as I am never more than a month away from my next trip to sunshine but I still try to make the best of my wardrobe space. So it’s time to clear room for Autumn neutrals, chunky knits and suede boots 🙂
This is the last London summer look I’ll be sharing with you guys and it’s a pretty perfect one for this topic of conversation as it so happens. This laid-back smock dress with front tie is actually the perfect transitional dress for Autumn. It’s going to look so fab with knee high boots and a leather jacket! This dress was a very kind lend from my friend Claire so keep your eye on her instagram as to how she style’s it up this Autumn :). She got it from this great new site I’ve discovered called Over My Body. The site stocks the some amazing brands such as For Love & Lemons and C/Meo Collective as well as other great international brands. The delivery is so quick and the prices are some of the best I’ve seen, the other great thing about this site is the discount codes that are sent out on a regular basis – you can get 10% off your first purchase at the moment and when you sign up you will then be sent more discount codes throughout the year, some as much as 50% it’s amazing!
