For me, there’s no better way to spend an evening that watching the sunset in swimwear……..
It’s not very often in life I am given the opportunity to unwind, fully relax and take in the moment.
In today’s world we have access to so many wonderful things that our minds rarely switch off. For me, my mind is a creative one, there is never a dull moment in this brain of mine, whether I’m planning two minutes or two years ahead. I am constantly striving for the next goal. When really all my childhood dreams have, in fact come true.
I always wanted to work for E! as a presenter, I now do. I wanted to travel the world, I am working my way through that and most importantly I wanted a partner to share and create further dreams with, I do, the man behind this lens.
So this post was almost therapeutic for me, a moment to stop and smell the roses, in the best possible way! Although we were, yes, taking photos during these magical Maldivian sunsets, we were also lucky enough to switch off for 20 minutes or so and truly enjoy the moment – something I will now treasure and romance over, for years to come.
Chase your dreams ladies but make sure to stop along the way and enjoy those small achievements. I am terrible at stopping to appreciate my own accomplishments and I am always so fixated on my next one, I know, that I am not alone.
Supporting others when they reach their goals will encourage them to do the same with yours, so rather than comparing yourself with your friends and peers, take a moment to celebrate with them – then when it’s your turn round you will feel the return tenfold. This is something I learnt during a counselling session years ago and it has changed my life for the better ever since. Make a big deal of other people’s moments and you won’t forget to do the same for yours, life is for enjoying and we all need to nourish our souls with gratitude and pride every now and again 😉
