There’s something about dressing to match your surroundings 😉 When in Greece, blue and white is the only way to go!

Back to my recent Greek escape………..this time I’m strolling through the beautifully quaint streets of Tinos.
A few months ago I found out that I would be island hopping the Greek Islands with Folli Follie and having visited Greece a few times before I knew that I wanted to create a capsule wardrobe of blue and white during my stay. Having drooled over beautiful instagram pictures from the likes of Ohh Couture & Rosie Londoner who took full advantage of the beautiful backdrops of Mykonos and Santorini I had a visual mood board as such of white and blue flowing fabrics with grecian twists.  So the few weeks before travel I had my style radar on full alert 😉 It was actually quite easy to find clothes to suit my vision as there are so many beautiful Mediterranean inspired tops and dresses in the stores right now. Off shoulder tops, loose white cotton fabrics and lots of embroidered details are all the rage when it comes to the current trends, so I managed to pick up a few new bits 🙂 This top being one of my absolute favourites.
For those following me on snapchat (my username is sabrina.chakici if not ;)) you will have seen my giddy reveal of these new shoes, my Chanel sandals. My hubby bought these for my birthday and I had been saving them for this trip. They go so well with everything but I love saving new items for big trips so I resisted wearing them for weeks!
Unfortunately the cobbled streets didn’t see eye to eye with my new babies and they got scratched up quite badly when we were jumping in and out of helicopters so I was gutted to severely mark them on their first wear. That being said I know I’ll get so much more were out of them now. Whenever I buy something new and expensive I treat it like a fragile egg for months and it often means I don’t wear them as much as I would like to and therefore don’t really get that amazing cost-per-wear ratio that we buy designer items for. So with any big purchase, as soon as I scratch or damage them slightly I end up wearing them so much more because I no longer need to be so precious with them.
In conclusion, it’s always heartbreaking when you break or damage something new but on the bright side I’ll be wearing these bad boys religiously for the foreseeable! 😉
