Captured on my recent trip to the wonderful Conrad Maldives, there’s no better place in the world for a bikini snap!
As most of you will already know my favourite swimwear brand is VIX by Paula Hermanny, there is something about her designs that make me feel so great whilst frolicking almost naked! No other swimwear comes close to how I feel in a VIX bikini but unfortunately, they are quite pricey! So when brands offer to send me swimwear as lovely gifts I really can’t say no. I feel like I spend just as much time in bikinis nowadays as I do in coats so I am always on the lookout for great brands and designs.
So let’s talk Triangl, for the past 3 years these innovative neoprene bikinis have taken our instagram feeds by storm! With a bigger social media following than most A-List celebrities these Australian designed two pieces are definitely one of the biggest must-haves for water loving, beach fashionistas. I’m lucky enough to have been sent a new style every season which I am truly grateful for but as much as I love seeing this swimwear brand on my favourite Victoria Secret model, I have to be honest and say that I really don’t think they suit me. They are a great little number for all us snorkelers out there as they are made from the same material as a scuba suit and therefore do not budge in the water, which is so handy. I just haven’t found a style that is flattering on my body. I have featured the design in this post as I love the colours on the backdrop of the crisp blue waters but I don’t really like the way I actually look in it! I feel like I am wearing a nappy and I think it’s super unflattering on my hips, and boobs for that matter. So all in all, I don’t really like it. Sorry Triangl. That’s just on me though, on a number of slinky instagram maidens it looks beautiful – perhaps a few less puddings and I can try again on my next trip 😉
Any who, let’s just all take a moment to appreciate this gorgeous view!! As promised, I am taking you on a virtual tour of the Conrad Maldives. These shots (taken by my awesome hubby) were snapped in the waters next to the world-famous under-the-sea restaurant, I’ll be taking you inside there next week so stay tuned!
