En Lefko Suites, Mykonos

I’ve just arrived home from a week in Mykonos. Since I first stepped foot on a Greek island I have visited the country every single year since however it’s been years since my last visit to the most fabulously famous isle of them all. 

Ashamedly so, I had forgotten just how truly stunning the island of Mykonos really is. I last traveled there as part of a hosted press trip so I didn’t have the opportunity to explore as much as I would have like to, this time I was on my own and out to play so I’ve seen so much more of what it has to offer. That being said I’ll be writing lots more about the Blue and White Agean dreamland but a brand new discovery for me and a place that I’d love to share with you guys is the stunning En Lefko Suites Hotel.

I traveled out to Mykonos on my own to visit a friend who is working the summer season and I chose this hotel simply because it was close to her accommodation but it turned out to be quite the accidental find! The hotel is dramatically gorgeous both in it’s sea-view setting and traditional gleaming white architecture. From the moment I arrived every corner I turned was a postcard perfect moment. The whole scene is exactly what you imagine when you think of a glamorous Grecian escape.

The hotel is the perfect place to relax on the otherwise lively and happening island making it the perfect spot for romance and relaxation. Once you’re within the walls of the resort you’re wonderfully isolated from the town and any hustle and bustle whilst being treated 280 degrees of sea views.

The transfer from the airport to the hotel takes around 10-15 minutes and costs 25 euros.

The layout of the hotel allows each room to feel more like a villa than a ‘hotel room’ and the space inside is also in-keeping with this idea of having a larger space to yourself. Each offers some sort of outside area and a view, whether that’s a terrace or balcony and the amenities within the suites are perfectly suited to a comfortable 4 star stay.

The swimming pool and summer recreation area is the show stopper of this resort and a rare bonus for accommodation in Mykonos. Pool service is available and it’s a short walk from all rooms. There’s also a small but delicious breakfast spread every morning and you can dine first thing in the morning with a stunning view of the triple blue scene, the pool, the sea and the sky.

The hotel is within walking distance to a few small shops and restaurants and just a short but steep stroll downhill will lead you straight down to the very point where the sun melts into the sea every evening.

For exploring further afield you’ll have to get some wheels, there’s parking on site should you hire a car or you can book the hotel’s car, which just so happens to suit the suites in style (a Porsche) the front desk can also call ahead for taxis for you but be aware these can take some time. I love Mykonos but the public transport is no one’s friend!

Having paid in full as a solo traveler I would highly recommend this hotel and have every intention of returning soon.
