Poolside at Palazzo Versace

If you need me, I’ll be here……….soaking up the rays from my floating lilo at The Palazzo Versace Dubai. At least, for the foreseeable future in my dreams 😉

Another visit to Dubai and another completely different side of the city revealed. I just returned home from a pretty epic escape to the city that lures in us Brits year-round for the desirable heat and cosmopolitan lifestyle. I spent the majority of my recent trip staying at the fabulously flamboyant Palazzo Versace Hotel and it was a dream stay!

Location wise, the hotel is tucked out of the way a little but as with most metropolitan cities now, everything in Dubai was easily is reachable via uber and taxis are super cheap over there. The only issue with this hotel, when travelling to a city that has so much to offer, you don’t want to leave it!

The Rooms at Palazzo Versace

The Palazzo Versace Hotel is one of those dreamy Dubai hotels where no decadence is spared! The designer’s eccentric flare and ionic Italian Art-Deco style is apparent throughout the hotel from the magnificent mosaic floors to the gold-dripped ceilings. When it comes to describing the beauty of The Palazzo, the rooms are what I would determine as the showstopping reason to book and ours was, if I do say so myself, one of the best! With two bathrooms, a living space, two outdoor balconies, a walk-in-wardrobe and the dreamiest sectioned off bedroom complete with lush bedding and draping over the large windows, the suite was fit for the A-list elite. The biggest chore of the trip was peeling ourselves out of the bed sheets and up from our high thread-count marshmallow haven! Though, with great might, we managed to see more than just the room 😉

The Pools at Palazzo Versace

The Palzzo Versace offers three large pools for guests to enjoy whilst the sun moves from one side of the day to the other and all pools are attended well and looked after to showcase those well earned five stars that the hotel boasts. Towels are laid out, drinks are served to your side, water delivered as you park for the day and there’s a foam lilo with your name on it no matter the time of day you decide to take your hours poolside. [one_half][/one_half][one_half][/one_half]

The Restaurants at Palazzo Versace

Then restaurants really are quite something at Palazzo. We ate breakfast lunch and dinner within the resort and on each occasion we dined, food was divine! Breakfast is served in the aesthetically gorgeous Giardino which laid out the works each morning with a spread of options so extensive and delicious that we were spoiled for choice whether to indulge in the fresh pastries and hot breakfast options or tame our hangovers with a fresh smoothie and home made muesli pot! Oh….and just for good measure, there was a five tier chocolate fountain!

Lunch wise we opted for ‘A taste of Persia’ at Enigma and it was one of the best lunch settings I’ve had in the UAE. The Iranian inspired lengthy menu was tackled with the help of our waiter and whilst we sat in the warmth of the outdoors and sipped on our lunch time spritzers we were able to sit back in awe as our showcase (aptly named as it was like watching a fully produced set design come to life when the waiter bought over our meal!) of starters was laid down on the table in front of us.

Alongside the starter courses was an edible herb garden which served a purpose for looking great whilst also being a practical and amazing palette cleanser between dishes. It was served with a whimsical pour over dry ice which beautifully complimented the vibrant display that was laid out before us. A table of vegetarian and gluten free goodness that we had to pause for a second before tucking into. It was honestly, one of my yummiest meals this year!

[/one_half][one_half][/one_half][one_half][/one_half]For our evening meal we were treated to a romantic dine night for two at Vanitas, an Italian inspired eatery that, in-keeping with the general theme of the hotel was as lavish and luxe as they come when it comes to dining in Dubai. Having devoured our lunch just a few hours prior we opted for a one course wonder of risotto and some delicious accompanying wine. The hotel looks stunning at night with the palms and pools lit up to show off the gorgeous midnight blue skyline.[one_half][/one_half][one_half][/one_half][one_half][/one_half][one_half][/one_half][one_half][/one_half][one_half][/one_half]

The Spa at Palazzo Versace

With little time for relaxing set aside during my recent trip The Palazzo Versace still managed to steal me away for a spa evening whilst in Dubai and it.was.fabulous! The spa itself, which is open to all hotel guests boasts a heated whirlpool, rain showers, a sauna and steam room and heated seats to relax in pre and/or post treatment. I was lucky enough to enjoy an hour massage with one of the expert therapists and it was so good my brain closed all tabs for the full 60 minutes allowing me to fully enjoy every single moment. [one_half]

Q’s at Palazzo Versace

Stepping outside of the glitz and glam of the hotel’s rooms, pools and restaurants the piece de resistance to The Palazzo Versace Dubai is undeniably, Q’s Jazz bar which is located in the basement of the hotel and is absolutely rocking! The band that performs here Tuesday to Saturday 7:00pm to 2:00am,  is one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. The club literally comes to life and the atmosphere is electric even though the space itself is relatively small there’s not a mm in the room that isn’t ‘a-buzz’ with excitement and admiration for the show.I really can’t fault our stay at the Palazzo, the hotel has the true wow factor when it comes the decor and it’s one of those hotels that really does offer everything. Whilst there was no need to leave we did, of course, explore outside of the marble pillars and bespoke furniture and I’ll be writing all about what we got up to soon 😉 Stay Tuned x
