A few weeks ago my hubby surprised me with a random brunch trip at Duck & Waffle, the amazing diner in the sky.The restaurant is based in one of my all time favourite skyscrapers, home of Sushi Samba and Drift Bar, Heron Tower. It’s on the 40th floor of the building so on a clear day you can see these amazing views of London.
The menu is small but mighty! With waffles taking centre stage, Mems had the infamous duck and waffle dish and loved it – I went for something a little healthier to save room for the amazing puddings!
I had the cherry waffles and they were divine! I would probably skip the main and go straight in for two deserts next time 😉 I do have a terrible sweet tooth though.
Aside from the delicious food the waiters were friendly and attentive, the tables were roomy and well spaced and the manager does his best to roam round making conversation, a lovely touch.
The main draw for a restaurant like this is those breathtaking views though! It’s a funky yet romantic date and it’s open 24 hours a day. A real treat in the city, relatively pricey but well worth the spend.
