I’ve visited 6 countries in the last 4 months and I’m only just getting started 😉
How is it April already?! So much has happened this year it’s whizzing by, I’ve travelled to Australia, Mauritius, Thailand, Malaysia, Rome and Montgenevre and I am fortunate enough to have some amazing plans and projects taking me right the way through to the end of the year. As my blog is and will always be a personal and opinionated site I thought it would be a great time to check in and tell you all about my travel plans for the rest of the year as well as some other things I’ve been up to this year.Asides blogging I am also now a published writer on a number of online publications and in a number of printed magazines 😀 I am really proud to say that I am now Travel Editor for Estila Magazine a luxury lifestyle monthly magazine that’s stocked in Harrods and WH Smiths throughout the UK. I am also the Travel Editor for Close up Magazine, a luxury lifestyle Magazine that’s distributed to affluential homes in London.
I also have a monthly travel column for Female First which is really exciting, the blog posts are published around the 17th of every month and they mostly follow me in my recent travels but I’ll also be featuring some of my favourite destinations and hotels on there 🙂 Keep an eye out on my twitter when I share the links.
You will also see me popping up on The Sybarite and in The Wedding Guide, Yorkshire Brides, Look magazine, Women’s Fitness UK and hopefully more by the time you all read this article. I’m really proud of all my achievements and although it means I have had to step away from my E! commitments I couldn’t be happier with the path that I am travelling down (excuse the pun! ;)).
So with my external publication articles increasing my public platform my travel plans are reflecting that 🙂 Those of you who joined me in the E! days my main job is still and will always be a Voice Over Artist and TV Presenter but traveling and writing is my passion project and I’ve worked really hard to create a living from it too. I am working on a new TV program about travel at the moment but it’s all very top secret so I can’t tell you anything about it I’m afraid. I am also voicing some big advertorial campaigns so I do need to be in the UK as much as possible, that being said I have eight trips booked in the next 5 months! Here goes:
Next Wednesday I am off to a secret location to surprise my sister, it’s going to be incredible and I can NOT wait to reveal to not only you guys but my sister where we are off to! I’ll be videoing the whole thing so stay tuned 😉
April – Barbados & Palm Island – I haven’t been back to the Caribbean on years so I’m really looking forward to heading back. The resorts looks insane and there’s a little twist to this trip, it involves floating on the sea whilst doing yoga! More details to be revealed soon 😉
May – Madrid – I am heading back to Madrid for a few days, I had a rather unpleasant experience there on my last visit (ex-boyfriend nonsense) so I’m excited to see the city again with open eyes.
May – Crete – For my sisters wedding!!!!!!!!!!
June – Portugal – I’m heading out to a luxury fitness retreat with my good friend Olivia Cox, it’ll be close after my 30th birthday so I imagine I’ll need a little rejuvenation 😉
June – Las Vegas – I’m headed back again! My 6th trip to the strip of dreams 😉 My friend Aimee and I are both turning 30 this year so we wanted to go in with a bang and Vegas is definitely the place to do that!
July – Another surprise location – Gosh darn it, being a good friend who surprises people doesn’t bode well when you are writing up travel plans!
August – Tahiti – My birthday present to myself is always a trip abroad and this year (as it’s the Big 3-0) I am whisking Mems and I off to Tahiti! We were originally going to travel over my birthday but we decided to wait for the humpback whales to join us, so expect to see me screaming my snapchat off the handle when I finally fulfill a lifelong dream of swimming with wild whales in the ocean.
So there you have it! My travel plans, I am beyond excited to explore these locations, four of which are completely new to me and all but one new to write about for you here on Clutch & Carry-On. With these booked in that takes me to a grand total of 14 different countries in 8 months! I mentioned it’s been a crazy year so far right? Well now it’s time to gear up for the next few months, I can’t wait to take you all with me!
Let me know in the comments below if you have travelled to any of the locations I’m due to explore, it would be amazing to hear your thoughts and any tips! At the same time if I have been to a location already this year that you’d like to know more about please comment below 🙂
