Afternoon Tea with S&D

IMG_0547The lovely team at The Baglioni London got in contact with me recently to let me know they had switched up their afternoon tea menu and asked me if I would like to try the new revised Italian spread. Well, anyone who knows me will know that even with 3 bikini clad holidays on the horizon I can never turn down anything that involves cakes and/or champagne! So I took with me the beautiful Diana from Sweatshirts & Dresses and we worked our way through the new menu, sometimes this job can be a tough one 😉

I was lucky enough to enjoy The Baglioni Spa prior to meeting Diana for tea (see post here) so the relaxation had certainly prepared me for an easy afternoon of delicious treats and lots of giggles!
It’s so great to meet up with other bloggers, especially those with similar styles to your own. I have been following Diana’s blog since she started and it’s great to see her pop up in the high fashion magazines as I’m flicking through, this girl knows her style and inspires me to have a bit more fun with my own wardrobe. Our full outfit details are here and you can check out Diana’s style on her blog here.

The Italian spread was just as yummy as the last time I enjoyed afternoon tea here (see post here) a great mix of sweet and savoury with some fabulous tea and champs to help it all down 😉 I preferred the mix of savoury options in this new revised menu but I have to say, I did miss the white chocolate Cannoli! They now have a chocolate chip one that was delicious though. I didn’t really need to ask Diana’s opinion, her frequent ‘yum’s’ were enough to tell me she enjoyed it just as much as I did!
Unsurprisingly the scones were once again my favourite and I love that they have kept them in the menu although they are not Italian, I think tea and scones are an integral part of any good afternoon tea and when they make them so well they just had to stay!

On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays they now have a beautifully talented pianist who plays from 3pm onwards, a really lovely addition to the ambience of the experience.

The team at The Baglioni always look after me so well, and every time I enjoy a day here I get to know the staff even better. I find it can be such a rarity in such a big city to find a familiar place to enjoy, a little sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle is always a treat for those of us living in London and that’s exactly what The Baglioni is to me.

What a lovely spread. I don’t think I’ve been to an establishment enough that the staff takes care of me especially well. I’ll have to get on that if what I’m missing is service like this! The pianist is a nice touch too.
