Arriving in Venice………

Sorry it’s been a while guys! I am now back in the UK and ready to share my snaps and tips from Italy. Now then, let’s start at the very beginning………

For those of you who are new to my site, first of all welcome! Secondly I need to let you know that I have recently been on a trip to Italy where I travelled to Venice, Tuscany, Rome and The Almafi Coast. So strap yourself in for lots of travel posts in the next few weeks.

My first stop was Venice, the gorgeous car free city that is one of the most colourful and romantic places I have ever had the luxury of visiting.

We flew from London City with British Airways, it only takes 2 hours and yet when you arrive you feel as though you have travelled across the globe! We were very lucky with the weather as well as it was over 30 degrees every day during our trip which was lush, although a little too hot when sight seeing if I’m honest!

We treated ourselves by getting a water taxi to our hotel upon arrival at the airport, we were only in Venice for 2 days so we thought that warranted splashing out. It was amazing to see the city on the water straight away. There are local water buses that you can hop on otherwise, it’s a really surreal experience getting on a boat at the airport, so fun though!
We stayed at the B&B Bloom Settimo Cielo which was located perfectly and was such a lovely stay, I’ll tell you all about it in my next post 😉 We spent our day walking round the cobbled streets and enjoying the beautiful ambience. It was also our first introduction to Italian Gelato otherwise known as the most delicious food on the planet EVER!
