Palais Namaskar, Marrakech

I have been to Marrakech four times now but this was the first time I discovered Palais Namaskar, a stunning 5 star resort that’s nestled twenty minutes outside of the Medina. Luckily they have an open pool policy so you can rent a day bed there to enjoy the pool and the restaurant at your own leisure.

This hotel is so beautiful, one minute you are driving through the beaten dirt tracks of the Moroccon countryside and the next minute you feel like you’re in an Arabian Palace!

The architecture of the building is amazing and every detail is perfect, terracotta stone, gold finishes and just the right amount of natural greens.

I went to the spa during the afternoon and had a full body massage which was lovely, then me and my camera took a wander through the lush grounds 😉

My friends and I ate lunch in the restaurant by the pool but it wasn’t that great if I’m honest, the selection was very limited and the service was pretty poor. Such a shame considering the beautiful setting.

The staff were also extremely rude when we ‘checked out’ for the day. They made a few mistakes on our bill and treated us quite poorly in my opinion. Again it’s a real shame as I am now a put off returning.

If you are looking for somewhere aesthetically beautiful to spend a relaxed day by the pool I would definitely recommend this place but if you’re after an all round welcoming experience and good service I wouldn’t give it my nod of approval………
