Today marks a year on from finding out I was potentially going to be the first ever E! UK & Ireland Host, so with this in mind, I thought it was a great opportunity to share something a little different with you today!
Monday was the World premiere of Bridget Jones’ Baby in London’s Leicester Square and whilst the A-List were busy making their way through hundreds of fan autographs I was rocking a pretty little dress and my favourite accessory, the E! mic on the carpet waiting to chat to them about the latest instalment of the classic franchise.
I was lucky enough to have a giggle with all the main cast members, the highlight, of course being Mr McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey!! I also chatted to Years & Years who are on the soundtrack to the film which was a MAJOR fangirl moment!!
You can watch all my interviews from both the sit down chats with the main cast and the glitzy glamour of the red carpet on @eonlineuk here.
I always want my blog to remain and fashion and travel hub, somewhat of a hobby to stand side by side with presenting career but I think a premiere is the perfect event to also capture here on Clutch & Carry-On. The fashion steaks are always sky high and I love dressing up for the occasion! For Monday, I was kindly dressed head to toe in Luisa Via Roma, my dress is Self Portrait here, shoes Jimmy Choo here and bag Valentino here.

I am so lucky to be able to share another side of my life with you on here and I would love to be able to show you even more of my on-screen journey, if you are up for reading all about it 😉
It can be very tough to remain true to yourself in an industry that is so image focused and as a part-time blogger alongside being the host of E! UK I constantly find myself torn between my social media and personal life. I am so easily inspired by influencers and presenters alike and I have so often been caught up in the blogging world, trying to make my social feeds ‘flow’, taking certain styles of photos, wearing particular outfits etc and I am finally at a place where I am able to fully separate and focus on myself as a person, I dare even say as a brand. I am not too fussed if my instagram is all over the place as long as my personality and process is being captured. It’s something I have to remind myself of daily. Being a creative can be a tiring job sometimes, there’s always so many factors an thoughts that go into one teeny little thing, my brain fries on a daily basis so this small gesture of being true to myself has really helped me over the past few weeks and I strongly urge anyone in a similar vocation to follow suit.
Rather than worrying about what colours I can capture with my photography and which brands have asked me to work with them, I am happy to have been able to refocus my mind and remind myself of my own personal path and journey and do you know what, I feel pretty awesome about it! I am not trying to be anything or anyone other than myself, as tough as that can be.
I know blog posts like these can come across as quite self-centred but I love reading articles like these myself and I can often see resemblances and relate to their words which for me would be so touching to be able to reciprocate.
I have, before, written posts and then followed my words with advice but reading as often as I do I think it’s actually best to share your own words as opposed to dishing out unqualified advice and just hope that there’s a handful of people out there that are touched by your own journey.
Deep conversation and life clarification aside (insert crying laughter emoji) I had such a blast on the Pink Carpet and I felt amazing in my look – it has definitely got me in the mood for Fashion Week on Friday, oh the glitz and the glam, bring it on!!
I document the majority of my day to day on snapchat so please come and join the party! My snapchat username is sabrina.chakici – send me a snap message to let me know you’ve read today’s post, it’s my favourite way to interact with you all 🙂
