Miami’s Iconic Biltmore Hotel

One amazing and rather unique trait of Miami, Florida is just how seamlessly old meets new and the famous Biltmore Hotel is the perfect example of this.

The charming Spanish influence in Miami pours through the walls of The Biltmore which is based just 15 minutes away from the airport. The lavish and luxury estate is based in the community of Coral Gables where it fits in beautifully with the conventional neighbourhood further outside of Miami’s more public and recognised party regions.

Featuring an 18 hole gold course, a full service spa and 21,000 sq ft outdoor pool he hotel and country club has the prestige that could be compared to a Palace! The large Estate was built in the 1920’s and is one of Miami’s most treasured national landmarks. The Mediterranean decor is a photogenic paradise attracting all walks of life and the debatable spooky rumours simply add to the intrigue of the historic mansion!

I stayed here just a few weeks ago as part of a group influencer trip and I loved my stay. Having stayed at the fabulous Eden Roc Resort for the few days prior, the contrast from fresh modern interiors to traditional rich textures and architecture was a welcome treat.

I fell up in the room, and the dreamy draping of fabrics around the bed and when I added breakfast into the equation the dreaminess multiplied by a thousand! The hotel offers a choice for guests to leave a note on the doorknob up until 2am for breakfast to be delivered the very same morning and everything was delicious.

The double rooms are spacious with two windows a small living area, large bedroom space and en suite. The bed was gorgeously comfy and the decor is in-keeping with the charming design of the hotels lush communal areas.

Every corner turned at The Biltmore is another instagram-worthy moment and with such a large estate you never feel as though the hotel is overcrowded. The gym is awesome, as the hotel is also a country club the gym facilities were top notch, in fact the gym was larger than my own local one here in London. They also offer free headphones, towels and water.

After a gym session it’s impossible not to dive straight into the pool!

If you are looking for a traditional and authentic stay in Miami I highly recommend The Biltmore Hotel. There is definitely an older crowd here which in my opinion was the one downside to the golf course and country club being on-site but it’s a complete contrast to the hustle & bustle of South Beach.
