The Indian Ocean strikes again!! Paradise has once again been found and it goes by the name of Paje, Zanzibar. More specifically, White Sand luxury Villas.
I recently returned from the most incredible trip to Tanzania, Africa. Â Mems and I headed to the stunning white beaches of Zanzibar and also spent a few unforgettable days in The Serengeti, it was, one of the most amazing holidays my handsome hubby and I have ever been on!
I’ll be writing up the trip in stages but this post is dedicated the ridiculously beautiful hotel that we stayed in for the last few days of our trip, Zanzibar’s White Sand Luxury Villas.
Having seen a few enviable instagram shares prior to travelling to Zanzibar the villa’s secluded sandy gardens and beautifully picturesque design had me frantically searching on booking . com in search of an available room! We arrived just a week after making our reservation and even though I had expected a gorgeous resort from the pictures, nothing could have prepared me for the breathtaking beauty of what was to be our home for the next 4 days!

The hotel was gracious enough to offer Mems and I an upgrade on our room after hearing that I would like to write about the resort and we were so thankful, our accommodation was the dreamiest of dreamy suites, I’d happily go as far as saying the best I have ever stayed in!
The resort itself is a collection of 12 villas as opposed to a hotel with specific rooms but with regards to the service and amenities it felt like a luxury boutique hotel as opposed to individual villas. Our villa, number 5, was a beachfront property with a private ‘plunge’ pool and separate living area. After a friendly and informative greeting from the hotel manager on arrival, we were shown to our room by our personal butler and from the moment the door opened it was impossible to hold back my gleeful squeals of excitement!
The space quite simply took my breath away, it felt like our own little slice of paradise and the design of our villa lead us to often feel like we were the only two people in Zanzibar!
The property was enormous, it featured essentially two villas, one was a huge bedroom with indoor bathroom and double sink vanity area, an office space and large wardrobe area. The ceilings were whimsically high and the wide sliding glass doors draped in fresh white linens looking out onto the outside patio area. Above the bedroom was a large roof terrace with incredible sea views and a plush lounge bed. We chose to enjoy breakfast in bed above our bed most days 😉
As well as the bedroom there was also a separate building that was just a couple of steps across the decking. It again featured lavish high ceilings and patio doors and was home to our living space and dining area. In this area there was also tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. We had a private butler throughout the duration of our stay (as part of our room category) so we didn’t really take advantage of the space to be honest, he seemed to know exactly when and where we needed our prosecco at all times 😉
The outdoor space in our wonderful villa number five was a sandy garden dreams are made of! The private pool was the perfect temperature and size with Paje’s pristine beach just a few steps away. There were a number of lounging options placed perfectly around the space to ensure that there was always somewhere to relax in the sun or shade, an outdoor dining space and a devastatingly pretty outdoor bathroom! This featured a completely exposed tropical rain shower and stone bath, all tucked away completely private from external guests of the villa but perfectly open to enjoy the luxury of bathing in the fresh outdoors.

Despite our villa’s best efforts to keep us trapped within our utopian cocoon we did manage to tear ourselves away and venture out to the hotel spa one afternoon. The spa was just as opulent as the villas themselves with billowing white linens and impressive open ceilings. Mems and I both opted for a back massage and the treatment was fantastic. The whole spa experience was fabulously relaxing and the therapists were amazing.
The blissful tranquility of our villa was almost too good to be true and it was easy to think that perhaps we had just struck gold with this one individual villa, that was until we were moved to another glorious villa for a late check out. Our flight back to the UK was really late so the hotel graciously offered another one of their villas for us to use until the evening. Would you believe it was just as dreamy?!
This particular villa didn’t have direct access to the beach but it still boasted a large plunge pool and private sandy garden. With towering palm tress and the added bonus of an additional upstairs bedroom this ‘downgrade’ certainly wasn’t too shabby! Once again the White Sand Luxury Villas stole our breath for a few moments. Seeing this room solidified our intentions to return one day, the bedroom upstairs would be so perfect for a family holiday.
White Sand Luxury Villas was a completely new experience for me, for the first time in my life well travelled I had absolutely no desire to leave my hotel room! We ordered our breakfast lunch and dinner to the room on a daily basis (all of which was really yummy!) and a wander into the crystal clear Indian Ocean was all that enticed us from our lounge area of choice. I have never felt so relaxed and revitalised than during my stay here. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more.
It reminds me of the hotel that we stayed in in Zanzibar which one of the best that I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a truly magical place!!
