Let me tell you a little bit about this stunning, historical Spanish town called Seville……..
As some of you will know I am a member of the Pineapple Cheerleading Squad, I’ve danced professionally with the team now for over 5 Β years and I absolutely love it! One of the perks of being in the team is being able to travel for work. We have been lucky enough to perform in a number of countries from Abu Dhabi to France and just a few months ago we hopped on a plane to Spain to perform at the Renault World Series which took place just outside of Seville.
I had never really been aware of the beauty of this city, I had heard one or two things but it was never really on my radar as a must-see destination, which looking back now makes me feel ridiculous because trust me guys, Seville is stunning!!
The city is rich in colour and culture and it’s the prefect place to get lost in for a few days without having to spend a penny.
The architecture and cobbled streets make you feel as though you are roaming through South America rather than being just a stone’s throw from the UK. Plus the weather is warm all year round – bonus π
If you did have a few euros spare then I would definitely recommend visiting the Alcazar. You could spend a whole day here taking in the beauty and enjoying the winding hedge mazes and friendly peacocks that roam the grounds.
The town itself is fabulous for dining al fresco, shopping, grabbing a gelato or even travelling through the streets on a traditional Horse & Carriage. The choice is yours to explore, you could also travel further out to the closest beach Cadiz.
Another must-see is the breathtaking Plaza de Espana. Don’t bother with paying for a taxi, just grab a street map and walk your way through Seville – that’s the beauty of it. You can spend all day on foot and see so many amazing sights. The Plaza de Espana is a 10 minute walk from the main town and I hope these photos are giving you some idea of how beautiful it is. I didn’t actually go inside as I dragged the entire cheer squad around with me sight-seeing all day so by this point some of them were a little fed up π Not everyone has a thirst for travel like us bloggers π
As our gig was just outside of Seville we only spent an afternoon here so I sadly can’t recommend any restaurants or bars etc for those of you planning a weekend away but I’m sure I’ll head back there soon to explore for you π
