The last day of our long weekend 🙂 Today we sail back towards Capri and explore the Blue Grotto.
Sailing back from Sorrento and Positano. We made sure the boat took us past the phenomenal Fraglioni. When you think of Capri you think of this iconic rock formation, it’s not to be missed!
Dubbed as the trio of sea giants these spurs of rock really are a stunning sight – another great snap moment. I feel like this entire yacht trip would be a photographers dream!
After enjoying the ocean and these wonderful coastline sights we continued on to Capri’s most famous tourist spot. The blue grotto.
The blue grotto is so spectacular, it’s basically a sea cave nestled on the coastline of Capri. You jump in a tiny wooden boat and travel up to this teeny entrance (it can’t have been taller than a metre!) and you have to lie down in the boat to make sure you don’t hit the opening.
Then as soon as you are inside the entire space is a stunning iridescent blue. I have never seen anything like it, so beautiful and serene. Unfortunately getting in alone is impossible so you have to look past the other people and boats populating the space.
Some of the boats have gondola style singers on them which is a real treat. Reminded me of Venice a little bit 😉
That’s it for our weekend away guys, I hope you enjoyed taking the tour with me!
I am doing my best to get all of my travels up on the blog before the year end. I still have to take you to Rome, Paris, Seville and LA! Wish me luck 😉
Wow! Looks so incredible, you are my travel (and body!) inspiration!
Can’t wait to see your Rome pictures x
Thank-you Lottie- I can’t wait to show you 😉 x
