Back on set!

Sometimes, if you’re patient, determined and kind enough to yourself and others, the universe will have your back.

Just last month I wrote an article about my personal struggles between managing this nomadic life that I’ve carved out for myself and a life that I always had planned. You can read the full post here but in short, as much as I’m my life’s biggest cheerleader and so blessed with opportunities, I can’t help but miss my years spent as a professional TV presenter. As proud as I am of my achievements no matter what other path I wander down hosting will always be my chosen career.

BUT after a couple of years off-screen whilst traveling the world, the road has lead me back to exactly where I stared, I’m back in the biz guys! As fate would have it just a few weeks after my online declaration, I’m now currently in Cyprus filming a TV show, yi-pp-ee!

I’m here for two weeks with a film crew in tow and a packed itinerary, whilst I can’t share any details of the episodes before they’re aired in a few months I can tell you that I’m feeling right at home! The beautiful world has been my playground these past few years and from sunrise to sunset I’ve been grateful for every single day but my ‘home’ will always be in front of a rolling camera.

I started vlogging at the beginning of last year and I’ve loved sharing my travels with you guys but for me there’s nothing quite like the ‘performance’ as a presenter. Since knowing I had to chose a career, (remember that day we all found out we actually had to work for a living?!) I’ve always wanted to be a TV presenter and though I’ve been out of the broadcasting industry for a while travelling, it seems to have all fallen into place with where I am now. Those of you who read my previous post will now know that these last two years, (although they’ve been some of the best of my life!) I’ve not really felt like myself and now, spending a week anchoring this show I feel pretty amazing.

Hosting a travel show is NOT glamorous, it’s crazy long hours, managing a sweaty face and frizzy humid hair whilst still trying to look presentable, peeing in bushes, changing outfits in the car and never knowing where your next snack is coming from BUT it’s bloody awesome and it’s more my calling than I ever realised. I’m working with an amazing team and loving every moment, here’s to hoping it’s the first of many!

Its unusual for me to share my personal life outside of travel diaries here on C&C because I’ve always wanted Clutch & Carry-on to be a travel hub providing you with guides, tips & Information about certain locations and of course my own wandering tales but every now and again it’s right to talk and most of you guys have been through it all with me these past few years 😉

So with my news, I’m accompanying this post with some pictures from the most amazing sunset I’ve seen this year and with the person who’s been by my side through it all, my man, my everything.  There will be a full review of our recent trip to Palm Springs soon but in the mean time please forgive my absence whilst I’m working on this show, Sabrina xX
